Description
CRISPR-Cas systems are powerful tools for mediating nucleic acids. Cas12a (also referred as Cpf1) nuclease, belongs to the Class 2, Type V CRISPR system. dCas12a from Lachnospiraceae bacterium (strain ND2006) is a catalytically inactive LbCas12a (D832A, with an Asp832→Ala substitution). The protein can be programmed with a gRNA and directed to bind at a desired sequence of DNA.
