MCLAB’s 96-Well Pairwise Sequence Alignment Tool is a free online tool that can align up to 96 pairs of experimental/standard sequences. Here are the steps to use it.
Step 1: Load Experimental Sequences
If you use MCLAB’s DNA sequencing services, you can load any of your sequencing results as experimental sequences by clicking the “Click” link.
Step 2: Specify Standard Sequences
You can specify one or more standard sequences for alignment. By clicking the “BLAST Sequences” button, you can run the alignment program called bl2seq to align all sequence pairs.
You can “Add Another Sample” to add more samples or click “Remove” to remove samples. You can choose to use a single standard sequencing or multiple standard sequencing. The “Fill” button will automatically fill the standard sequence with the previous available one.
Step 3: View the Summary Results
A summary page will be displayed after the alignment is done, where colors are used to tell different alignment percentages.
Step 4: View the Detailed Alignment Results
From the summary page, you can simply click any colored well position to view its details.
