Epoxy-activated Agarose for Ligand or Protein Coupling
$329.00 – $987.00
Epoxy-activated Agarose is a pre-activated affinity chromatography support for the immobilization of a variety of biomolecules that contain nucleophiles, such as hydroxyl, amino, or thiol groups. These groups couple to the epoxy groups on the support, which is then used for the purification of proteins, carbohydrates, or DNA.

Description
Epoxy-activated Agarose is a pre-activated affinity chromatography support for the immobilization of a variety of biomolecules that contain nucleophiles, such as hydroxyl, amino, or thiol groups. These groups couple to the epoxy groups on the support, which is then used for the purification of proteins, carbohydrates, or DNA.
Epoxy-activated Agarose CL-6B is based on highly cross-linked agarose 6% beads which have structural characteristics that result in superb physical strength, excellent flow properties, low backpressure, and an open pore structure. The open pore structure allows coupling of large ligands for the purification of large targets, including protein A for purification of monoclonal antibodies, and other ligands for purification of recombinant proteins, such as those containing maltose-binding protein and calmodulin. In addition, Epoxy-activated Agarose CL-6B allows operation at very high flow rates, resulting in increased throughput and rapid column cleaning between chromatography runs. It is supplied as a semi-dry powder (1 g of powder gives ~3.3 ml final drained medium) to significantly shorten conditioning time before ligand coupling.
